A Nanny for U's Doula* Program helps ease the transition by providing the help you need - experienced doulas offering mother-to-mother wisdom and care. Our goal is for every new mom to feel taken care of from the very beginning as they gain confidence and achieve success in their new role.

We specialize in working with the region's most professional and experienced postpartum care providers. We not only recruit talented doulas, we help train them. A Nanny for U hosts specialized training and continuing education opportunities for our current and new postpartum care providers. It is vital that our providers are trained in a manner consistent with our business practices and professional standards.

A Nanny for U maintains a highly qualified pool of the best doulas in the industry. Because many of our professionals are booked several months ahead of time, pre-registration is highly recommended.

Our doulas are trained in the areas of postpartum depression, multiple births, colic, reflux, sleep issues and a variety of additional situations where you are in need of extra emotional and physical support. They are also lactation specialists, capable of guiding you through a variety of issues including latching difficulties, painful nursing, low milk production and low weight gain.

We understand that each new mother's concerns are different, and our doulas are eager to provide the support you need - from preparing family meals to some much desired time for a nap. Available for day, evening, and overnight shifts, our professionals are flexible and can adapt to your particular schedule. Whatever your specific needs may be, count on our doulas to be where you need them, when you need them, helping you juggle the many aspects of this new responsibility.

After we find the right doula for you, we offer ongoing support to ensure that all of your needs are being met and to provide additional resources. We have excellent referrals for lactation specialists, psychologists specializing in postpartum depression, support groups, housekeepers, meal preparation, and nannies. We are also able to lend a hand with home delivery of breast pumps, baby products, and nursing supplies from Birth and Beyond.
