OUR PHILOSOPHY
“Happy family with a nanny” is our motto. How do we achieve that you ask? We are a team of eager and knowledgeable staff ready to assess your childcare needs, and we carefully screen and identify the top caregivers in the PNW to find someone that compliments your unique family. Rebecca’s vision to create an agency with unsurpassed customer service and a commitment to placing qualified and trusted in-home care has thrived since its conception in 1994. Today we are the industry leader in placing nannies, newborn care specialists, and household professionals.

Rebecca Dyk Owner/Founder

  • Raised in the city by entrepreneurial parents, Rebecca broke the mold and defected to the country where she now runs a small black Angus cattle ranch.
  • At 22 as a Nanny, Rebecca started the company because her doctor was pregnant and asked the right questions!
  • Rebecca’s personal role model is the pioneer woman.
  • As horses are Rebecca’s family sport, she and all of the kids compete—Rebecca’s teenage girls rodeo, and her toddler son claims to be a future bull and bronc rider.
  • While Rebecca loves to rock the cowboy boots, she refuses to give up her city style, faithfully visiting Starbucks and Nordstrom.

Kristin Tillack Director

  • As an outdoor enthusiast, Kristin subjects her two kids to the frigid outdoors, whether they like it or not—so far they do!
  • Kristin has a degree in Child Development from Point Loma in San Diego and a Master’s Degree in Business from Seattle U.
  • While originally from sunny Southern California, Kristin loves the Seattle rain and now calls the PNW home.
  • Dress-up parties, game nights, karaoke, and slow nature walks with her 1 year-old are just a few of Kristin’s favorite pastimes.
  • Since Kristin can’t travel to her favorite country (Italy) as often as she wishes, she makes up for it by eating pizza on a weekly basis.

Abbie MacRae Placement/Recruiter

  • Abbie is known as the “baby whisperer,” babysitting her way through Middle School, High School, and College.
  • While Abbie’s professional title is Recruiter, her proudest title is Aunt to her four adorable nieces and nephews.
  • As a volunteer Young Life leader on Mercer Island, Abbie enjoys spending time with and mentoring High School girls.
  • Abbie graduated from Central Washington University with a B.A. in Psychology, minoring in Interdisciplinary Honors Studies.
  • Often called an amateur chef amongst her friends, Abbie loves hosting dinner parties to try out new dishes.

Marcy Madden Placement/Marketing Director

  • As a native Seattleite, Marcy has an unwavering commitment to her beloved Seattle Mariners.
  • Post-college, Marcy could be heard on the “1’s & 2’s” as the DJ for a professional sports team…can you guess which one?!
  • Marcy is a two-time University of Washington graduate (go Dawgs!), with a B.A in American Studies and a Masters in Teaching.
  • A former elementary school teacher, Marcy adores kids and looks forward to having some of her own one day.  For now, her energetic fur-baby (Sasha “Fierce”) keeps her plenty busy!
  • Look for Marcy out and about attending concerts, sporting events and Sunday brunching her way through Seattle.

Christina Martin Staffing Coordinator

  • Always one to take on something new, Christina’s current venture is learning to play bass guitar.
  • Baking and interior decorating (DIY of course!) are two of Christina’s favorite activities, and keep her busy (and her house smelling delicious) on the weekends.
  • Cats are (currently) her children. Christina has fostered, volunteered, and even worked at a cat specialty clinic.
  • As a self-declared Airbnb addict, Christina loves exploring new places. Her favorite stay was in a renovated airstream located in the middle of the forest!
  • Christina loves talking about anything football, and proudly reps her Hauschka jersey. Go Hawks!!

Serena Argens Backup Care Director

  • Born and raised in Seattle, Serena’s work history started at the early age of 12yo selling tickets for the Seattle Underground Tour and many years later actually leading tours!
  • Serena has a degree in Communications from Western Washington University. While in school, she helped open up a thriving Bellingham restaurant which she remains partial owner of.
  • Cooking, drinking wine, and exploring Seattle and the world with her 1 year-old daughter and husband is Serena’s favorite hobby. Her daughter has already been to Ireland and Italy!
  • One of Serena’s favorite activities is skiing, although she hasn’t stepped foot on the slopes since her daughter was born. She’s hoping to rekindle the hobby once her little one can partake.

Our Partners

“A Nanny for U has efficiently and effectively provided corporate backup care for our company for years. We had worked with a national provider prior to working with A Nanny for U and find that working with them directly gives us a more personalized service that our over 300 employees value. Their top notch customer service and response time are consistently noted by our employees. We couldn’t be happier with what their service provides as a benefit to our employees.”

– Gayle d’Hondt, Bungie HR Director

“A Nanny for U has consistently provided high quality service and follow through. It’s reassuring to know that we can go to them with all of our concerns…never feeling like any question is too big or too small. We wouldn’t think of using any other service in Seattle!” – Heidi from Wallingford

“My husband and I both work full-time, and over the last two years we have frequently called on A Nanny for U to find us help when our long-term childcare plans have fallen through. Without exception, the temporary nannies have been personable and competent, and well liked by our children. A Nanny For U has almost always been able to meet our needs with only one day’s notice. I would highly recommend this service for providing peace of mind that there is a great backup for those unexpected days without childcare.”
– Lara from West Seattle
