A professional, career-driven family in the Hawthorne Hills neighborhood of Seattle is seeking an experienced, proactive nanny to care for their infant in a long-term role. About the Role:
The family is looking for a dependable, communicative, and self-directed nanny who can take initiative and confidently manage all aspects of infant care. Their ideal candidate is warm and engaging, while also highly organized and proactive in keeping things running smoothly day-to-day.
Both parents work outside of the home and value a strong partnership with their nanny. They are hoping to find someone long-term who can grow with their family, with the potential for a second child in the future. The family would also love a nanny who is open to traveling with them a few times per year.
They have a friendly, medium-sized dog so walks with baby and dog are encouraged!
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and maintaining routines
- Preparing bottles and, as baby grows, preparing simple baby food
- Tracking baby’s daily schedule (feeds, naps, development, etc.)
- Engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities
- Baby laundry and keeping baby’s areas clean and organized
- Tidying main living spaces and organizing toys
- Monitoring and restocking baby supplies
- Occasional errands such as grocery shopping
- Walking the family dog alongside baby as part of the daily routine
Qualifications:
- Strong professional infant experience (required)
- 3 long-term nanny references
- Knowledgeable about infant development and routines
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented
- Reliable, responsible, and mature
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable with a friendly dog and incorporating walks into the day
- Open to occasional travel
