Screening Process
Professional Resume Review
Each day we tackle a full inbox of applicant inquiries and resumes. We carefully review every single resume we receive. Applicants must meet our requiredΒ QualificationsΒ to go on to the next step in our screening process.
Pre-Screen Phone Interview
If your resume meets our qualifications, we will contact you via phone for a pre-screen interview. During this call we get more information about your childcare experience, education, job interests and how our agency can be of service with your job search. Based on your resume review and pre-screen, we decide whether to move forward with an in-person interview.
In-Person Interview
At this stage we schedule you for an in-person interview with one of our staff members. The face-to-face interview allows us to get additional information about your childcare experience and education but to also find out about your childcare career goals, expectations, and preferences and even about your hobbies and interests. We take this opportunity to assess what type of position we can assist you with, review our current job openings with you and potentially schedule interviews with families.
Reference Check
After you have completed a successful in-person interview with our agency we begin checking your three professional references. We conduct a phone interview with each reference that entails a comprehensive list of questions involving your job duties, work ethic, childcare techniques and disposition.
Family Interviews
We use your experience, qualifications and skill set as well as your personality fit and interests to help us match you with families that you will interview with. We are here to see you through the entire process. We prep you for each interview and give you a full assessment of the job description and family. We check in after each interview to discuss your feedback as well as check in with each family.
Background Checks and Contract Negotiation
We help negotiate a verbal offer including salary, schedule and start date. At this time we perform a background check that includes a social trace search, criminal record search in every county you have lived (both maiden and married names), a thorough MVR search, as well as a multi-state criminal search, sexual offender registry search and homeland security database search. Finally, we draft and finalize a parent-nanny contract for you to review and accept.
