Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning!

Spring is here, and this is always a great time of year for a check in and refresh! Below is a quick checklist you can follow to refresh your brain.

Reevaluate your needs:

Often times as a parent or caregiver we are so busy on what everyone else needs that we forget to take into account our own needs. Take the time to do that now. Plan, set some goals for yourself this spring and try not let you own needs get lost in the mix. Take time to read, get yourself to the gym or plan a dinner with a close friend! How you will feel with some you time with work miracles for your mind.

Take a mental health day:

Take a full day to yourself to catch up on all those little things that have been piling up or that you want to do but haven’t had the chance to get to. Paint your nails or go to the spa. Catch up on housework, or don’t! Read a book or take time to journal. Whatever helps to reset your brain and heart. Take this time to do that.

Do something nice for someone:

It takes a village and just how simple acts of kindness brighten your day, they brighten those around you as well. There are many ways to do something for others. You can volunteer somewhere, bring baked goods to a neighbor or friend, or give someone a hand who looks like they have just a bit too much going on. Keep it simple and easy and remember you get what you put out!
