ANFU is the most professional agency I’ve worked with in the greater Seattle area. The nannies that have been staffed on my short-term backup care requests and longer term coverages have been top quality. They provided excellent care for my children who still rave about their time together. The other three groups I’ve encountered didn’t have basic things like timesheets so nannies weren’t even held accountable for showing up on time. I highly recommend booking with ANFU – they try their hardest to accommodate requests and match you with the best care that’s available for your circumstance.
✨In memory ✨ It is with great sadness that the Seattle Nanny Community lost one of our best. Alison Quinn was a dedicated nanny with a long history of working with newborns (her specialty) and families providing care and support as they were just finding their footing. Alison has been described by families as warm, loving, empathic, and kind. As one of our team members, we found her to be conscientious, diligent, upbeat, and always willing to help in whatever way she could. Alison raised the bar and made the childcare industry a better place. She will be missed by so many. ✨✨✨✨✨ Please message us to send condolences to her family....

🛝 What are your favorite ages to care for and why? I enjoy babies 1 yr and younger mostly. It’s fun caring for them and helping them reach milestones like clapping, crawling, sitting up. Or even teaching them silly noises like raspberries. Toddlers are also fun because they’re starting to talk and understand more, so showing them new words or objects is always rewarding.
🍼What do you enjoy most about being a nanny? I like the ability to work with all types of families and kids. Everyone is different so I’m constantly learning and growing as a caregiver and person.
☀️ Three words to describe you: Attentive, Adaptable, Creative
🎨 Favorite activities to do with children? Drawing. As an artist, it’s so exciting to see a child’s perspective through creative expression. I’ll even sometimes show them how to draw something and watch them make it their own. Another activity I enjoy is playing with legos or any type of blocks because there is also a creative aspect to it.
🎶What do you like best about working for A Nanny For U? Schedule flexibility. I do freelance things in the arts like dance and selling at art markets. So having flexibility in my schedule allows me to pursue those things on the side. I also like being in a different home every week or couple of days because it keeps the job interesting.

We have talked about it before, how convenient short-term childcare can be. It is a great resource and option when we are in a pinch. Maybe our main nanny called out sick, had a planned vacation. Maybe our child is mildly sick enough to where they can’t go to daycare or school and we need some last minute help for a day or two. These are all reasons that our Backupcare program exist. As times have Changed the option of using all of our Backupcare hours through our employer seems to be a much more cost effective, easier route for our childcare. But is it really?
